Use this form to request the preparation of a deed conveying real estate. Deed preparation is $350, which includes recording the deed in the registry. County registry recording fees depend on the number of pages of the deed, and if the conveyance is subject to transfer taxes. Transfer taxes are $2.2 per $500 of the sale price or fair market value of the property if there is no sale price. There are several exemptions to the transfer tax that may be available.
