Maine Registered Agent Services
All businesses registered with the Secretary of State, including corporations, LLCs, and partnerships, must designate a registered agent in Maine. The registered agent is the primary contact for the business with the state and also accepts service of process and official documents on its behalf. The registered agent must be located at a street address in Maine. Receiving your official notices and service of process is an important responsibility. Your registered agent in Maine should be able to receive documents on your behalf and forward them to you quickly. If you miss a filing date or fail to respond to a lawsuit, there can be serious legal consequences for your business.
For just Registered Agent services, there is a $100 set-up fee and then a $75 annual fee after the first year.
This does not include assistance with establishing the business or the Annual Report filing services.
